Functional Wellness Consultations
Functional Wellness Dublin, Ohio
Fatigue, brain fog, stubborn weight, hair loss, poor sleep , low energy can have many underlying causes. Our functional wellness consultations take a more comprehensive look at your symptoms, health history, lifestyle, and lab results to help identify patterns and create an individualized plan.
You Deserve to Feel Well. We'll Help You Get There
Our functional wellness consultations are designed for people experiencing...
Fatigue and Low Energy
Chronic fatigue is one of the most common complaints we hear, and one of the most dismissed. If you're getting a full night of sleep and still waking up exhausted, relying on caffeine to get through the afternoon, or struggling to keep up with daily life, your body is sending a signal worth paying attention to. Low energy can be rooted in thyroid dysfunction, adrenal imbalances, nutrient deficiencies, blood sugar dysregulation, and more. Functional lab work looks beyond standard panels to identify the specific drivers behind your fatigue so we can address the cause, not just the symptom.
Unexplained Weight Gain
If you've tried cutting calories, exercising more, and following every recommendation out there only to see little or no change, you are not alone and it is not your fault. Weight that won't budge despite your best efforts is often a sign that something deeper is going on, whether that's an underactive thyroid, insulin resistance, elevated cortisol, or hormonal imbalance. Our functional approach starts with understanding what's actually happening in your body so we can build a plan that works with your physiology, not against it.
Brain Fog and Sleep Issues
Mental clarity and quality sleep are two of the first things to suffer when something is off internally. Brain fog can look like difficulty concentrating, forgetting words mid-sentence, or struggling to retain information. Sleep issues might mean trouble falling asleep, waking through the night, or never feeling rested no matter how many hours you get. Both can be linked to hormonal fluctuations, blood sugar instability, inflammation, and nutrient deficiencies. We take both seriously and look for the root cause driving them.
Hair Loss & Hormonal Changes
Noticing more hair in the shower drain, thinning along your part, or changes in texture and density can feel alarming and deeply personal. Hair loss in women is far more common than most people realize, and it's rarely just cosmetic. It's frequently a sign of an underlying imbalance including thyroid disorders, low ferritin, vitamin D deficiency, or shifts in estrogen and progesterone. Hormonal changes don't always announce themselves dramatically. Sometimes they show up quietly, as hair loss, mood shifts, low energy, or just a general sense that something feels different than it used to.

Functional Wellness FAQs
What is a functional wellness consultation and how is it different from a regular checkup?
A functional wellness consultation takes a more comprehensive look at your health history, symptoms, lifestyle, goals, and lab results. Your 60-minute consultation gives us time to look for patterns and discuss factors that may be contributing to how you feel, rather than focusing on a single symptom.
What conditions do functional wellness consultations address?
Our consultations are designed for people experiencing fatigue, low energy, unexplained weight gain, brain fog, poor sleep, hair loss, and hormonal changes. These are symptoms that are commonly brushed off or left unresolved through standard care. Functional wellness looks at the underlying imbalances, including thyroid function, hormone levels, nutrient deficiencies, blood sugar regulation, and inflammation, that are often at the root of these concerns.
What lab work is included in the consultation?
We start every new client with the same comprehensive lab panel workup that has been cultivated uniquely by Balanced Beauty Collective to give us a balanced view of overall health and identify patterns that may be contributing to how you feel. Your results are then reviewed through a functional wellness lens and discussed with you during your follow-up. Additional testingmay be recommended based on your results, symptoms, and individual needs.
Am I a good candidate for medical weight loss programs?
Medical weight loss may be appropriate for clients who are struggling with weight management and would benefit from additional medical support. During your consultation, we review your health history, lab results, goals, previous interventions, and other factors to determine whether prescription medication therapy may be appropriate for you .
Is functional wellness coaching the same as medical care?
No, and we're intentional about the difference. Coaching and education help you understand your labs, your symptoms, and the daily habits that influence your health. These services are educational only and are not intended to diagnose or treat any disease, and they don't replace your relationship with your physician. When your plan calls for medical care, such as prescriptions or treatment of a diagnosed condition, that care is provided by our licensed practitioners under the medical direction of Dr. Jason Wright, DO. Every client reviews and signs full consents before starting.
